Company History
Northern Coast Diving opened in 1988 by Brad Gorden from Springfield, Missouri and his wife Patricia Gorden who is originally from Metz, France. The two wanted to create a diving atmosphere where Customer Service, Quality, and Safety were top priorities without compromising the unhurried, laid-back culture of the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Together, they fine-tuned the ultimate in dive vacations that is now carried forward with the next owner, Colin Williamson, who took over ownership in 2006.
Colin, originally from Manchester, UK, started his dive career with Northern Coast Aquasports, S.A. and after his first experience, he just kept coming back to the beautiful Dominican Republic and to Northern Coast, of course! With the friendly and helpful staff, he did all of his PADI Certifications to Divemaster level and with his passion for diving, he started working for Northern Coast Aquasports, S.A. When the opportunity of taking over the dive center came, he didn’t have to think long. Always ready for a new challenge, he took over on the 23rd of November, 2006.
